Club Championships – Club Records fall

It was so great to see so many compete in Sessions 1&2 on Saturday, for some competing in our Club Championships for the first time.
Session 1 brought us the delight of the 200m Butterfly followed by the 100m Freestyle.
In the Freestyle, Jessica Humm, swimming in the 15+16 age group, reduced her own Club Record form last year, one that had stood prior to that since 1985.
The 200m Backstroke followed before the break for the second session.
In session 2 we had the 400m Freestyle, 100m Backstroke & 200m Individual Medley.
Jessica was back again in record breaking form, reducing her own 100m Backstroke time by 0.02, last year taking it that was held from 2013.
Also in the 100m Backstroke was Edith Hamilton who smashed the 13+14 age group record by over 2 seconds, a time that had been held since November 1998
