Academy Teacher
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Level 2 Swimming Teacher to join our academy swimming program. The successful candidates will provide and be responsible for planning and implementation a structured swimming program aligned to competitive swimming for one or more of our Academy groups that range from Stages 6 to 10. You should be prepared to go the extra mile to help our swimmers reach their potential and achieve their goals. You will be accountable to and supported by the Academy Manager.
Responsibilities include:
To manage the delivery of a structured programme of work for swimmers aged 5 – 11 years old aligned to competitive swimming.
- Prepare lessons aligned to the cycle of work for the group provided by our Head of Academy.
- Dealing with parent enquiries in an efficient and courteous manner.
- To undertake and represent BWSC at internal and on occasion at external galas supporting Academy swimmers.
- Prepare swimmers to take part in the termly Mini Meet.
- To undertake teaching cover for other groups as required by the Club or other teachers.
- Provide ongoing feedback on all swimmers and detailed termly reports to track progress.
- Be able to commit to all group training sessions, teachers meetings and competitions as required.

- Monday 7.45 – 8.45pm & Wednesday 7.30 – 8.30pm
- Wednesday 7.30 – 8.30pm & Friday 7.30 – 8.30pm
- Friday 6.30 – 8.30pm

Lifeguards
We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic individuals to work as part of a friendly team at BWSC, lifeguarding at pools through the Bracknell and Camberley area on an evening basis.
As a Lifeguard you will be responsible for the safety and enjoyment of our swimmers within the facilities. Successful candidates will have the RLSS NPLQ qualification and will receive further site specific training and a club induction. Press Officer
The external promotion of the club is an important tool to attracting new members to the club, this voluntary role is ideally suited to an individual who is well organised and has a gift for writing great copy.
The main duties will include:
- The Promotion and Publicising of the club, in a positive way
- Establish working relations with local media
- Produce informative and unbiased press releases with photographs with regards to all the club’s events as and when appropriate information is available
- Report on club events (internally and externally)

Team Manager
When attending external galas and open meets the coaches rely on a safe pair of hands to look after the swimmers whilst they are coaching, would you be interested in this Team Managers role ? BWSC will provide full training for this Team Managers position and will pay for the Team Manager 1 or Team Manager 2 course. The main duties for this voluntary position are:
- To liaise closely with the Club Coach regarding the external meet and arrange all external transport as needed, accompany the team to gala.
- Put team lists on pool notice boards.
- Answer any parent questions before gala.
- Whip the swimmers for their races whilst at external galas
- Deal with all swimmer questions whilst at gala
- Take swimmer emergency contact details to galas
- Ensure that a copy of team list is left with a committee member when coach travel is involved.
- To follow and promote the ASA Child Protection policy.
- Must have taken the ASA Team Manager 1 or Team Manager 2 Course and completed the SafeGuarding and Protecting Childrens course.
