British Masters Championships 2023

This Long Course event was held in Ponds Forge Sheffield, 2nd – 4th June.
Five Bracknell Masters made the journey after achieving the qualifying times, more had the times but did not go this year.
Huw, Jones, Joe Kirkpatrick, Jevgenijs Putans, Noah Walton and Terry Wright
Huw Jones had a cracking meet. Five events and five individual club records. These came from the 100m Backstroke (-1.39 off the record), 200m Freestyle (-4.58), 50m Backstroke (-0.10) in the medley relay, 50m Backstroke (-0.19) again in the individual event and then the 200m Backstroke (setting the record).
Joe swam in the 200m Freestyle, finishing just 0.51 outside his entry time and then the medley relay the next morning.
Jevi swam all of the Breaststroke events, close to his own records in them and his highest finish was 4th in the 200m event.
Noah in his first National Masters swam in the individual 50m Free, winning his heat and being 5th overall, breaking the existing Club record by 2.07 seconds.
All four, Huw, Jevi, Joe and Noah swam in the 4x50m Medley Relay. They finished third and this set a BWSC Masters Club record.
Terry swam in the 800m Freestyle, 100m Backstroke, 200m Freestyle, 400m Freestyle and 200m Backstroke. No club records, but 0.21 away in the 200m Free.
