Owen Say and Tyler Ioannou both succeeding at the Para Swimming World Series.  This being Round 2 of the new World Series for para-swimmers, multi Paralympic medal winners from Britain, USA, China, Germany, South Africa and France. The standards were really high and over the course of the meet 3 x world records, 2 x European records and 7 x British records were broken.

Owen Say of BWSC qualified to swim in 6 events.  He set long-course Personal Bests in all 6 events and all-time personal bests in 3 of the 6 events. The two main highlights of the meet for Owen were the 50m Freestyle where he smashed his PB by over 1.3 secs, scored his highest ever para points total of 446 points. In the 100m Breaststroke he took 3 secs off his long-course PB.

Tyler Ioannou of Tilehurst, who trains with BWSC on Sunday mornings at Aldershot, had a really good meet making 5 World Series finals and scoring between 700 – 800 para-points in each event.
