Gold again for Laura.
Competitors from 31 countries attended these Championships, held in the open waters of Lake Bled with an average temperature of 5 degrees. Warmer than expected!
Bracknell & Wokingham Master Swimmer, Laura Wilcox has been training well for this and achieved her accreditation to compete and entered three events.
Today, the 25th Jan, it was the 25m Butterfly. This was still in the lake and a floating pool type environment. Competitors have to start in the water and are only allowed 5m underwater from the push off. Laura, again was victorious in her age group and also qualified for the Super Final, this being the fastest 8 swimmers from all age groups. In the final, see the competitors with Laura, who finished was 6th.
On Thursday 26th January, Laura then swims in the 450m Freestyle
