2022 Open Water South East Championships

On Saturday 16th July, 4 very brave swimmers embraced the heat to take part in the Swim England South East Open Water Championships. This event was not only looking to crown Regional champions but also play as a qualifying event for the National Open Water Championsips.
Terry and Bridget, two of our experienced masters swimmers, each came away with a gold medal each after swimming in their 2k event.
Ted Whitwam (16) took part in the 3k and Theo Robinson (16) competing in the 5k. This was first time the boys raced in an open water event. After some hard fought swims, Ted became Regional champion in the 3k race and Theo collected a bronze medal, securing himself a place at National on the 10th August!
